27 September Artist Bio - Jung Eun Yoo
Jung Eun Yoo recently graduated from MA Scenography at Central St
Martins where she previously completed a BA in Theatre Design for Performance.
She is a visual story teller through performance art and installation
based performance. She was a finalist in the Linbury Biennial Prize for
Stage Design with ‘All Quiet in the Western Front’ for the Nottingham
Playhouse in 2005, where she exhibited at the National Theatre in
London.
Her most recent work consists of ‘Drabina Jakuba’ at the
Cricoteca in Krakow, ‘Homebound in London’, ‘Sol VIII’ at the Cochrane
Theatre, and ‘Naked Circus – Siamese Twins’ performed at the Prague
Quadrennial.
Jung Yoo was involved in the scenography of ‘Sakulala’
directed by Yuka Shimura, ‘In Your Head’ performed at the Black Box and
she also worked for ‘Scratch Opera - The Capsule’ at the Battersea Arts
Centre, directed by Julia Hollander.
Her forthcoming work will be based on the cycle of purification through performance.
