Katharine Fry was born in Belgium. She bears a BA Honours in Fine Art from Middlesex University and an MA in Scenography from Central Saint Martins.
Fry’s work consists of video, installation or performance but is always concerned with identity and identicals; games and rituals; repetition and relationships; time and control; and loaded with nostalgia for a time that never existed.
Previous works include: The Burial of Isabella Dale, a site-specific exhibition at St Pancras church crypt; Tetherings, at the Cochrane Theatre; Homebound at an East London residence; El Tiempo Indomito in Santiago de Chile a promenade performance; Matin Après-Midi at the Cochrane Theatre, a movement-based performance, and Picnic a site-specific performance at Mile End Park recalling the English summer.
Amuse-Gueule, created for the week of Heroes, continues to explore relationships of control and ritual.
